NJ State Police officials are investigating a deadly highway crash that occurred Sunday night in Mercer County.
Spokekesman Charles Marchan said State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the northbiund lanes of I-295 near mile marker 63.1 around 11:52 p.m. in Hamilton Township.
Based on a preliminary investigation, Trooper Marchan said a Mercedes-Benz sedan was traveling north on I-295 in the area of milepost 63.1, ran off the road to the right, overturned, and struck a sign support.
As a result of the crash, the driver sustained fatal injuries.
State Police withheld the identity of the driver pending next of kin notification.
