The National Weather Service (NWS) said Newark and North Jersey residents should brace themselves for an even cooler day than yesterday as the weather takes a slight turn for the worse.
NWS meteorologists say the forecast for today is dominated by rain showers and gloomy conditions, making it necessary for residents to dress accordingly and prepare for a damp day.
With a high temperature reaching only around 66 degrees, the NWS said the day will be noticeably cooler than Wednesday. The chilly atmosphere will be accompanied by an east wind blowing at 12 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
The humidity level stands at 68%, adding to the clammy feel of the day. The barometer reading of 30.17 indicates relatively stable atmospheric pressure, underscoring the persistence of the rainy weather.
The forecast calls for showers throughout the day, with an 80% chance of precipitation.
NWS forecasters say residents should anticipate rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, potentially making outdoor activities challenging.
So, stay dry, stay warm, and make the most of this day.
