Authorities in Essex County reported that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the fatal shooting of Mr. Murad Loyal, 44, of Florham Park.
According to Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Spokesman Robert Florida, at 10:33 a.m. today, police responded to a report of a shooting on the 100 block of Weequahic Avenue in Newark.
Police found Loyal suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to University Hospital in Newark and pronounced dead at 11:14 a.m.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
