We protect our rest like we protect our marriage.
Fiercely.
Not just rest days but building a lifestyle of rest (even as we work). As Christians, we aim to rest in Christ as we build our businesses. There's much more to say about that, but we will save it for another article.
Today, we will dive into running from 'E' together. Being on empty is always a setup for a poor ending if not managed.
One of the core values that we challenge ourselves to live by is not to get on E at all. We may get close occasionally, but our goal is not to 'run dry.' This means:
- We must be self-aware: Know our personal red flags when we're getting close to empty.
- We must hold each other accountable: The beautiful thing about marriage is when you miss your own red flags, your spouse can help catch them quickly,
- We must be leaders: When the culture lives opposite of what you aim for, you gotta have a really-don't-care kind of attitude.
- We must be intentional: Intentional to refuel is part of it. The other part is to know HOW to refuel. That may look different for each of you. Make a list of what refuels you and implement it often.
- We must build a life, too: Business is only a PART of our lives, not our lives. It doesn't define us, but it is a tool. The moment we mistake our identity for being a business only primarily, it's a downhill battle.
This is incredibly challenging at first. But once solid business systems are in place, they do a lot of the heavy lifting. So there is more time freedom while still generating revenue.
Our proprietary systems for marriedpreneurs help us do just that. If this is what you're looking for as a marriedpreneur couple, you can learn more here.
Here's to living purposefully, powerfully, and profitably in sync,
