Police in Paterson reported property damage in one of three shooting incidents in the city overnight.
In the first shooting incident, police were dispatched to 215 16th Avenue to investigate a ShotSpotter device around 1:09 a.m.
Units arrived and found shell casings, but no injuries were reported. The suspect fled the scene and has not been captured.
At approximately 3:19 a.m., gunfire erupted near Auburn Street and Godwin Avenue.
When cops arrived, they located a car struck by bullets, but no one was inside during the shooting.
Police said a ShotSpotter device alerted them of the shooting. No injuries were reported.
According to police, the final shooting happened around 3:25 p.m. near 138 Belmont Avenue. A ShotSpotter activated and alerted police of the shooting.
When officers arrived, they found shell casings, but no victims were located. The suspect fled the scene and has not been captured.
