On Thursday evening, nearly a dozen vehicles were damaged in a multi-car crash on an Essex County highway.
The collision happened in the southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway near mile marker 144 in Irvington Township around 8:17 p.m
According to preliminary information, about 10 vehicles suffered minor to extensive damage, with one of the cars overturning on the concrete divider.
State Police reported no severe injuries in the crash, but the collision caused moderate delays on the highway, with only the right lane getting by.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
