Police in Jersey City are on the scene of a shooting with a male injured at this time.
About a half dozen gunshot rounds registered on a ShotSpotter device rushed police to the scene where they arrived and found a male suffering gunshot wounds in his stomach.
The conscious and alert victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center in stable condition.
Police say the shooter ran from the scene and is at large.
He is a young black male with shoulder length dreads who was last seen wearing a burgundy red hoodie with black jeans and black/burgundy sneakers.
Jersey City Cease Fire Detectives are on scene for the investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
