Time is elusive.
Time has a funny way of getting away from us. Time hasn't changed and has been the same since the beginning of time (pun intended). There have always been 59 seconds, 59 minutes, 24 hours, seven days, etc.
So why does it "seem" as though time is getting away from us?
In short, the answer is distractions. Yes, distractions are the culprits. But distractions only have as much power as we allow them. Bells, whistles, and anything that causes our cell phones to chime get in the way of focus.
There are four truths we need to keep in mind to help guard our focus and optimize time.
First, time is a gift and should be appreciated as such. Anything we understand and value, we respect.
Second, time is uncontrollable. No human being can manipulate and bend time to accommodate their desires.
Third, time proves what is hidden or obscure. In other words, when the time has come due, it reveals what happened (or didn't happen) according to what was said.
Fourth, time (in and of itself) doesn't cause things to happen. Saying that time heals and makes things happen is a misnomer.
What matters is how we use our time. What matters is what WE DO with
the time that ultimately brings results.
Building a business with your spouse will always be constant negotiation and even a battle with time.
