A Bayonne woman, currently in Hudson County jail in Kearny, made her first appearance after being charged with stabbing her 14-year-old daughter.
According to report, the girl was getting prepared for an electrocardiogram when the she asked a nurse at Bayonne Medical Center, if she could change the bandage on her left thigh.
When the nurse questioned how she had obtained the puncture wound, the child told the nurse that her mother stabbed had her the night before but was afraid to report.
The mother was arrested, according to police. Two children under her custody were placed under the care of a relative. The victim was placed under the care of her father, who according to reports lives in Jersey City.
The woman has been charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and a weapons offense.
Her bail was set at $50,000 cash only
