Authorities in Hudson County are investigating the motive behind a shooting that injured a male in Jersey City Saturday morning.
Officials at Jersey City Medical Center notified Jersey City Police when a male who suffered gunshot wounds entered the emergency room around 4:50 a.m.
The victim was struck in his leg but experienced non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported by private vehicle to the medical center.
Police focused their investigation in the area of Merrit Street near Curries Woods, where they believe the shooting occurred.
The investigation is active and conducted by The Jersey City Police Department.
