Newark's Shooting Response team members were called to the scene of a shots-fired incident in the city's upper West Ward Thursday.
Early morning gunfire rang out at around 4:15 a.m. near 96 Stuyvesant Avenue.
Police arrived at the location and found a crime scene, but no injuries were reported.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been arrested.
The shooting remains under investigation.
