Ocean County authorities announced that on May 30, the Lakewood Township Police responded to a residence on Thornbury Court in reference to a wellness check.
According to Lakewood Township Police, responding officers found the body of a deceased female.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Lakewood Township Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit are currently investigating.
“This is a suspicious death, and this remains an active and ongoing investigation.
There is no danger to the public, and more information will be released when it becomes available,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated.
