Newark Police are looking for an armed suspect who fired multiple rounds at a community park in the city's Central Ward Monday night.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., a ShotSpotter device alerted police of a shooting in the vicinity of 41 Avon Avenue near Stratford Place.
Several units arrived and found multiple shell casings and a magazine to a handgun lying on the ground.
Police searched the area for victims, but no injuries were reported after officers canvassed the neighborhood.
The shooter fled the scene and is at large.
