Jaquan Dublin, 20, of Egg Harbor City, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, May 16, to four counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault of four victims ranging in age between three and 13.
According to officials, following a several-month investigation, Dublin was arrested and charged on February 10, 2021, for sexually assaulting four children, all of which occurred in Galloway Township during the summer of 2020.
Although he was 18 when arrested, Mr. Dublin was 17 when the offenses occurred.
Officials say the State filed a motion in Family Court for the defendant to be waived up and prosecuted as an adult, which the Court granted.
As a result of the guilty plea, Dublin faces three concurrent sentences of 25 years in New Jersey State prison.
He must serve the entire 25-year sentence without parole. A fourth sentence of 20 years subject to the No Early Release Act requires that he serve eighty-five percent of that sentence before being eligible for parole. In sum, Mr. Dublin will be required to serve 25 years before release.
According to authorities, upon release from prison, Mr. Dublin will be subject to Megan’s Law registration and Parole Supervision for Life.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 27 but may be postponed pending an evaluation at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Avenel.
