Newark Police are investigating a neighborhood shooting in the city's North Ward Monday evening.
Police were dispatched to the vicinity of 81 Cutler Street to investigate reports of shots fired shortly before 7:55 p.m.
Officers arrived at the scene and found multiple shell casings, but after cops canvassed the area, no victims were located, according to reports.
The gunman fled the scene and has not been captured by police.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
