Three people suffered severe injuries in a Newark’s West Ward.
It happened around 9:15 p.m. at 43 12th Avenue near Morris Avenue.
Police said a group of individuals were engaged in a physical altercation when one of the men produced a sharp object and began stabbing the others.
The most seriously injured victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the left side. He was rushed to University Hospital by police and remains in stable condition.
Police said none of the other injured appeared to be life-threatening.
As many as ten individuals were involved in the fight that remains under investigation.
