There is heavy police activity on West Elizabeth Avenue in Linden as police investigate a shooting with one person injured at this time.
Gunfire rang out in the block around 3:55 p.m., prompting a police investigation
Several police officers arrived and found male struck by gunfire in her stomach.
The male was rushed to the hospital for treatment and his condition has not been confirmed.
A dance school and other facilities were locked down while police searched the area for possible suspects.
