Firefighters in Jersey City battled a raging multi-alarm fire that broke out inside a house Saturday.
The early morning fire happened in the 100 block of Ocean Avenue around 1 a.m.
Crews were dispatched to the scene after they received multiple 911 calls reporting a house fire with potentially trapped residents.
When crews arrived, they found heavy fire engulfing the three-story house.
Fire officials on the scene struck a second, then a third alarm for manpower after flames began to extend to neighboring homes.
Firefighters stretched about four lines to gain control of the stubborn fire, and a search of the building indicated no trapped occupants.
Crews managed to bring the blaze under control in just over an hour, with the cause under investigation.
One person suffered non-life-threatening burns.
