According to forecasters, the day is expected to start with calm winds, but they are predicted to become southeast at 5 to 8 mph in the morning. The humidity is expected to be around 58 percent, making the air feel a bit muggy.

NWS meteorologist said as the day progresses, the clouds are expected to thicken, which may create a more overcast sky. This may also reduce the amount of sunlight that makes it to the ground, which could help to keep temperatures in check.

If the showers do arrive, NWS forecasters said precipitation is expected to be light and scattered, so there may not be a need for people to pack an umbrella.

However, it's always a good idea to be prepared for inclement weather, just in case.

Overall, today's weather is shaping up to be relatively mild and calm, with a chance of some light showers later in the day.

So, if you're planning to spend some time outdoors, you may want to dress in layers and keep an eye on the sky.
