Police in Plainfield are investigating a shooting last night that left a 24-year-old injured.
At approximately 11:12 p.m., the dispatch center received a report of a gunshot victim on the 10 block of Johannis Place.
Officers responded to the area and discovered that a 24-year-old Plainfield man sustained a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital where he is listed in stable condition, according to police.
City Detective’s responded to the scene and have been conducting a follow up investigation.
At this time this does not appear to be a random shooting.
