Rescue crews recovered the body of a woman found floating in a river in Essex County Tuesday.
At approximately 5:10 p.m., emergency responders were called to the Passaic River near Raymond Boulevard after they received reporters of a person in the water.
Upon arrival, crews located the woman then removed her from the river.
Witnesses said the woman is believed to be one of several dozen homeless individuals who live around the water in Newark.
Essex County authorities have not reported foul play at this time.
