Firefighters in Newark battled a fast-moving fire that erupted just before 2:35 a.m. in a two-story house in Newark's West Ward area Thursday.
Crews were dispatched to the 400 block of South 18th Street after receiving several reports of a house fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed flames coming from the building, threatening neighboring homes on both sides.
Newark firefighters worked swiftly, and the fire was brought under control in under an hour.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
