If you're constantly running short on time and feeling defeated because you're not achieving your goals, it could be time to upgrade your business automation system.
The right kind of automation in business as marriedpreneurs frees up time and mental space to focus on what's important.
Depending on your season, that might mean more date nights or more focus in your zone of genius- or both! #winning
Either way, it's essential to have an automation plan that improves what's currently in place by adding new support. New support can be in the form of apps and software. Technology is moving at the speed of light. This only points to the necessity of routine audits to ensure maximum automation benefits (i.e., time freed up!)
In case you may want examples of how automation can look in business, below are a list of tasks that we include in our routine business automation:
- Content Creation Workflow: As husband and wife, we work very differently. So when it comes to creating content, one of us is more prone to writing our thoughts while the other speaks those thoughts. Using a dictation app has come in handy for working together in this area.
- Client Deliverables: Although, like content, every stage is not automated. However, there are areas in that we apply automation to lighten the load (i.e., onboarding process, emails, scheduling, etc.)
- Repeatable Tasks: For us, these repeatable tasks are great for combining and creating routine workflows. Once we add them into a workflow, it's easier to see which parts (if not all) can be automated.
- Team Communication: Whether you have 1 team member or 100, there has to be a centralized location for communication AND automated notifications and workflows within that communication.
These are the top areas to cover regarding an automation plan in business as marriedpreneurs. It helps to free up time (and energy) for each other and do what you love most.
