Authorities in Newark took three suspects into custody after a pursuit ended in damage to a patrol car in the city's West Ward Friday afternoon.
Detectives for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office attempted to stop a vehicle wanted for possible weapons possession when the driver sped from the scene around 1:25 p.m.
Authorities filled the vehicle to the intersection of South 10th Street and South Orange Avenue, where the driver struck a marked Newark Police car and all occupants bailed from the vehicle.
Police apprehended all of the suspects after a brief pursuit.
The incident remains under investigation and no severe injuries were reported.
