Police are investigating a stabbing that injured a male in Elizabeth Tuesday night.
According to preliminary reports, at approximately 7:10 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of Fay and South Elmora avenues to investigate the circumstances behind an injured person.
Upon arrival, reports said officers found a person suffering a non-fatal slash wound.
The initial investigation revealed that the injured person reportedly attempted to rob someone who produced a sharp object and stabbed him at that location.
The robbery victim was not seriously injured.
