Police departments in the regions were advised to be on the lookout for suspects wanted for a carjacking in Newark's South Ward overnight.
At approximately midnight, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Poinier Street to investigate reports of a carjacking in progress.
Upon arrival, they found the victim, who reported that male suspects exited a dark-colored vehicle and demanded their car.
An investigation revealed that the assailant occupied a black 2015 Infinity 250 with reported NJ license plate number "C80-JAG". This car was confirmed stolen out of Maplewood.
The carjacked vehicle is reportedly a white 2017 Buick with NJ license plate number "V93-MXJ".
No serious injuries were reported in the carjacking, and the suspects remain at large.
