Transit police responded early this morning to the West Grand train station in Elizabeth after a suspicious container was found.
According to officials, a container with some sort of black liquid coming from it was found at one of the station's stairwell shortly after 6 a.m.
NJ Transit spokesman William Smith said the stairwell was blocked off and passengers were redirected while crews investigated.
County Hazmat were called to the scene.
Shortly after 9 a.m., it was determined that it was a container with antifreeze, added Smith.
Train schedule was not all affected by the investigation, according to Smith.
