Police reported no physical injuries in a violent armed carjacking that occurred Friday night in Jersey City.
Jersey City officers responded to reports of a carjacking in progress in the 2500 block of John F. Kennedy Boulevard around 7:25 p.m.
Upon arrival, the victim told police that a male suspect approached armed with a gun and fired two shots before demanding the car.
According to reports, police began a search for the victim's grey 4-door Acura with NJ license plate numbers 'T79-PNX'.
Police checked the area for shell casings and launched an investigation into the carjacking.
