NJ State Police officials are investigating the cause of a crash that injured a motorcyclist on an interstate in Hudson County Saturday afternoon.
According to NJ State Police Spokesperson Sergeant Philip Curry, the crash occurred at 4:28 pm in the eastbound lanes of I-280 near mile marker 16.8 in Kearny.
Sergeant Curry said a preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle rider lost control and was ejected from the bike in the lanes of travel.
The rider sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment. He is expected to recover.
The collision caused some delays on the highway due to the investigation.
No other injuries or vehicles were involved.
