New Jersey State Police officials.are investigating the cause of a crash that killed a man on an interstate highway in Warren Township Monday night.
According to Spokesman Troopsr Marchan, state police responded to a crash in the eastbound lanes o I-78 near milepost 34.8, Warren Twp. Somerset County.
Trooper Marchan said that based on a preliminary investigation, a Tesla and Dodge pickup truck were traveling east on I-78 when the Dodge struck the rear of the Tesla.
According to Trooper Marchan, due to the impact, the Tesla crossed the roadway to the left and struck a metal guardrail, the Dodge ran off the road to the left and struck several trees and overturned.
Police say the driver of the Dodge, Mr. Sebastian Hofmann, 27, of Hillsborough, N.J., was ejected and sustained fatal injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
