NJ State Police officials are investigating the cause of a crash that killed one person on a highway in Morris County Sunday.
According to a preliminary investigation, troopers responded to the early morning crash around 2:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-80 near mile marker 43.6 in Parsippany-Troy Hill
Upon arrival, Troopers began to close all westbound lanes after they found a crashed vehicle engulfed in flames with at least one person trapped inside.
Emergency responders swiftly extinguished the vehicle, but not before locating an unidentified person dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
