The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Midland Park Police Department are investigating a fatal fire that occurred at 222 Franklin Avenue, Midland Park, on Thursday, February 2.
According to Prosecutor Musella, at approximately 6:32 p.m. on February 2, the Midland Park Police Department received a report of a fire at 222 Franklin Avenue in Midland Park.
Police officers and the Midland Park Fire Department, and neighboring fire departments responded.
During fire suppression, first responders located a deceased victim on the residence's first floor.
Prosecutor Musella said additional occupants of the home were transported to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the direction of Chief Jason Love, and the Midland Park Police Department is under the direction of Chief Michael Powderley.
