Family members have confirmed the identities of the 29-year-old mom and her 7-year-old daughter found dead inside an East Orange Home.
Octavia Campbell and her daughter Christiana were found dead inside the Dodd Street home this morning.
Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is in the early stages of investigating possible carbon monoxide deaths.
The preliminary investigation indicates the power had been shut off yesterday by the utility company and a gas generator was being used without proper ventilation.
At this time there is no sign of trauma or foul play.
