Bergen County authorities announced charges against Alex Carroll, 35; David Fate, 38; and Tariq Kyam, 57, for an armed robbery in Teterboro on May 26.
According to Moonachie Police, on Thursday, May 26, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot adjacent to Costco at 2 Teterboro Landing, Driving on the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.
Police say the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office (“BCPO”) Special Investigations Squad was notified, and as a result of their investigation, Alex Carroll, David Fate, and Tariq Kyam were identified as suspects.
On Friday, January 13, detectives served Carroll with his criminal complaint at the Burlington County Jail, where he is currently incarcerated on charges unrelated to this investigation.
According to authorities, on Thursday, January 19, detectives served Fate with his criminal complaint at the Essex County Jail, where he is currently incarcerated on charges unrelated to this investigation.
Authorities say on Friday, January 20; detectives served Kyam with his criminal complaint at the Westchester County (NY) Jail, where he is currently incarcerated on charges unrelated to this investigation.
Alex Carroll was charged with first-degree armed robbery, second-degree conspiracy to commit armed robbery; second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain second-degree person not to possess a gun; third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm; third-degree theft by unlawful taking, third-degree receiving stolen property, and fourth-degree aggravated assault by pointing a gun.
According to officials, David Fate was charged with first-degree armed robbery, second-degree conspiracy to commit armed robbery, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain second-degree person not to possess a weapon, third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, third-degree theft by unlawful taking, third-degree receiving stolen property, and fourth-degree aggravated assault by pointing a firearm.
Tariq Kyam was charged with first-degree armed robbery, second-degree conspiracy to commit armed robbery, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree certain person not to possess a weapon, third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, third-degree theft by unlawful taking, third-degree receiving stolen property, and fourth-degree aggravated assault by pointing a firearm.
