In June 2014, Brown-Braswell was charged with second-degree sexual assault (carries a maximum penalty of 10 years) and fourth-degree sexual contact. Under a plea agreement with the prosecutor's office, Brown-Braswellhe admitted to a charge of fourth-degree sexual contact. The youth - who was then 17 - accused Brown-Braswell of the sexually assaulting him for over nine months in 2012. Brown-Braswell would allegedly threatened to hurt the inmate if he resisted. According to Brown-Braswell's attorney, the inmate was 18 when the sexual contact took place. The attorney also claims that the inmate was charged with aggravated sexual assault and kidnapping.
