Police recovered multiple shell casings at the scene of a shits-fired incident in Newark's South Ward Friday.
The late-night shooting happened around 11:40 p.m. in the area of 164 Leslie Street.
Police arrived at the scene and found evidence that a shooting occurred but no victims were located after cops canvassed the neighborhood.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been captured.
Police have not determined a motive for the shooting.
