Several firefighters suffered burns battling a two-alarm fire that destroyed a house in Pompon Lakes Saturday morning.
Firefighters from several Passaic County municipalities were dispatched to the 900 block of Ramapo Avenue after receiving reports of a house fire around 2:25 a.m.
Upon arrival, crews found a single-family wood-framed house fully involved in flames.
Multiple lines were stretched to battle heavy fire from the house, threatening neighboring homes.
At least one firefighter was transported to St. Barnabas hospital in Livingston, suffering burns, but no one inside the house suffered severe injuries, according to officials.
Due to intense fire that ravaged the home, the structure collapsed and was a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
