Newark authorities report that an arrest warrant has been issued for Noel Hernandez, 51, of Newark, who is wanted for a burglary on January 5.
According to Newark officials, the incident occurred at approximately 2:18 a.m. in the 60 block of North 5th Street when the victim discovered a hole in the back of his van.
Officials say after looking inside the vehicle, the victim saw that two drills and a staple gun were missing.
Hernandez was captured on surveillance video jumping over a fence at North 5th Street and entering a driveway.
According to Essex County authorities, thirty minutes later, Hernandez was on North 5th Street with a drill and staple gun.
Hernandez, a Hispanic male, is 5’7” and 150 pounds with brown eyes, black hair, and a light complexion.
