Several pedestrians were injured after being struck by a vehicle Saturday morning in Newark.
Shortly before 1 a.m., police responded to reports of pedestrians struck by a vehicle at 175 First Street.
Emergency responders arrived and found three victims had been struck by a car at the location.
All of the injured were transported to University Hospital for treatment and the extent of their injuries has not been confirmed.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office was notified of the incident, but as of 3 a.m. Saturday morning, no fatalities were confirmed.
The investigation into the incident is active.
