Police in Newark are looking for two suspects wanted for a gunpoint carjacking in the North Ward this afternoon.
At approximately 3 p.m., police responded to reports of a carjacking in progress near 51 Oriental Street.
Units arrived and were told by the driver that two black males wearing dark clothing approached armed with a gun and demanded their 2008 Honda Odyssey.
The vehicle is beige and has reported NJ license plate number “N79-PGE”.
Police say the car has a large dent on the bumper.
No physical injuries were reported.
