Authorities in Passaic County are investigating a shooting that injured a man in Paterson Saturday morning.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said police were dispatched to the area of Auburn Street and Hamilton Avenue on a report of a shooting around 7:25 a.m.
Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene and a 55-year-old male Paterson resident who had sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said the victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment and was subsequently transferred to University Hospital in Newark.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
