Passaic County authorities are investigating the motive behind a shooting that killed a man in Paterson Sunday morning.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office said Paterson Police were dispatched to the area Harrison Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard on a Shotspotter activation.
Units arrived and found evidence of a shooting, but the victim, a 34.year-old man from Paterson, had been transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center.
Doctors pronounced the victim dead a short time after his arrival.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
