Paterson Police recovered a weapon inside a vehicle after a pursuit ended with several arrests in one of the city's neighborhoods Saturday morning.
Officers attempted to stop a car that was reported carjacked when the driver, with multiple occupants inside, failed to stop for the police car’s lights and sirens.
The vehicle sped through several sections of the city before crashing into a parked car near the intersection of Main Street and Newark Avenue.
The driver and about three other suspects were taken into custody and a gun with a silencer was confiscated.
No serious injuries were reported.
