A local Jersey City DJ is paying it forward in his beneficiary good deed after repaying the kindness to Jersey City Medical Center staff who saved his life after a traumatic injury he suffered in 2021.
Hospital officials told RLS Media that on Giving Tuesday, DJ Kornblau of Jersey City presented the Jersey City Medical Center with an $8,200 check.
Officials said Kornblau recently raised the money after running the 51st Annual TCS New York City Marathon earlier this month.
Last year, Kornblau collapsed in his apartment and hit his head, causing an internal brain bleed.
He recovered at the Medical Center thanks to the nurses, doctors, and medical support staff who cared for him during his time of need.
In his gracious and heartfelt “paying it forward” act Tuesday, Kornblau presented the check to the Medical Center to show his appreciation for their hard work and getting him back good health.
