Police Seek the Public’s Help in Identifying Newark Robbery Suspect

Newark Public Safety officials request the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with a business robbery that occurred on Monday, October 31.

Officials say just before 3:20 a.m., the suspect entered the mini-mart of the Sunoco gas station located at 1400 McCarter Highway.

The suspect hopped over the counter, pointed a silver revolver at both store clerks, and demanded cash from the register.

The suspect then ordered the victims to lie on the ground as he fled on foot from the location, according to authorities.

Officials report he was last seen heading westbound on 4th Avenue from McCarter Highway.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying this suspect.

He is described as a black male, wearing a black Puma hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black and yellow sneakers, officials say

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
