East Orange firefighters did quick work out of extinguishing a fire inside an apartment building in the city Monday.
The fast-moving early morning fire broke out on the 3rd floor of 81 North Arlington Avenue around 2:17 a.m.
Fire officials arrived and signaled a second alarm for manpower after firefighters encountered smoke pushing from an apartment inside the building.
Crews were able to locate the seat of the fire and immediately extinguish the blaze shortly before 2:45 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No serious injuries were reported.
