Police in Newark are investigating a shooting injured that sent three victims to the hospital in Newark Saturday night.
According to the investigation, officials at University Hospital notified police when three gunshot victims entered the emergency room shortly before 8:40 p.m.
The victim reported to police that gunfire rang out in the area of 7th and Roseville avenues striking the three of them.
Authorities arrived at the scene and found evidence to support a shooting near the intersection, but no other victims were located.
RLS reported earlier that several residents dialed 911 after hearing gunfire in the area.
Police have not released a motive or an arrest for the shooting.
