Passaic County authorities reported that at approximately 2:36 a.m. on October 22.
Officials say the Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Gregory Avenue and Oak Street on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene, but no victims were located, authorities say.
A short time later, the Passaic Police Department located a 23-year-old male Passaic resident who reported that his motor vehicle had been struck by gunfire while traveling on Gregory Avenue and Oak Street in Passaic.
According to officials, no one was injured during the incident and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
