UPDATE: 19-Year-Old Bronx NY Man Shot in Paterson

Authorities in Passaic County reported that at approximately 2:51 a.m. on October 19, 2022, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 1st Avenue and East 19th Street in Paterson  on a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene, but no victim was identified.

According to Passaic County officials, a short time later, members of the Paterson Police Department were notified that a 19-year-old male Bronx, New York resident had arrived at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic seeking treatment for multiple non-fatal gunshot wounds.

The victim was subsequently transferred to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for further medical treatment.

Based upon the initial investigation, the victim was in the area of 1st Avenue and East 19th Street in Paterson when he was struck by gunfire.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
