The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the motive behind a shooting that injured a male in Paterson Tuesday night.
According to e preliminary investigation, at approximately 3:10 a.m., St. Mary's Hospital officials notified Passaic Police that a gunshot victim had entered the emergency room.
Passaic Police learned that the victim was struck by gunfire in Paterson.
Authorities in Paterson set up a crime scene near the Silk City Gentlemen's Club in the single-digit block of 1st Avenue.
Two unoccupied vehicles were damaged in the shooting and several shell casings were on the ground.
Police say no other injuries were reported.
